Beat The Athlete: How the Saturday Challenge Works
Every Saturday, an Ironbound Tribe Athlete sets a benchmark — a time, a distance, a rep count — and posts it under #ironboundbta. Your job is simple: beat it.
How it works
- **The athlete sets the standard.** A Tribe Athlete posts their result for a chosen challenge — it could be a run, a WOD, a max-effort set. Format rotates as more athletes join the roster.
- **You attempt it.** Same challenge, your own conditions. No excuses about equipment or terrain — the point is to test yourself against a real, posted result from someone who trains for a living.
- **Beat it, post proof.** Publish your video or story showing the result. That's what verifies the win.
- **Unlock 25% off.** Beat the athlete's benchmark and you get 25% off in the Ironbound shop.
Why it exists
Most fitness challenges online are vague — "beat your PR," "push yourself." BTA gives you an actual number to chase, set by someone who's already been tested at a high level. It's not about beating everyone in the Tribe. It's about beating someone who knows what hard actually looks like.
Follow @ironboundtribe to catch each week's challenge, and check who's setting it — Bart Maljaars and Alex are both regulars in the rotation.
